This week was the hydraulic final. Heres what I found out.
Slow speed in the book is 1.6mph. Me and Austin measured 10rpm. and track length is 15.3 ft.
By 60 minutes and divided by a mile gives the mph.
10*15.3=153ft/m   *60=9180 divided by 5280 is 1.74mph.
That is a bit faster than the book says it should be. I wonder how they do there testing maybe with some resistance?
The fast speed in the book is 2.9mph and I calculated that its about 3.48 mph
Overall the test went well but I want to know if its exactly the number in the book or just at least what the book says.

To start with a new pump you have to prime it. And initially before we do anything make sure that when you go to prime it its not against the system of pressure like a boom it needs to be in free position back to tank. If at all possible fill the area with oil before starting. make sure you can turn the pump freely by hand.

This week I learned a lot about this hydraulic system. Where to find test ports and how to not open the system to test. contamination  IS OUR ENEMY!!! Also testing the system with facts we know can possibly tell us if the pump or motors are not processing at there potential.
