This week I didn't end up getting to help much with the 4960 JD because of other projects. But I got to ask question about it and learned so much. For example that the valve cover gasket they use weather strip adhesive to hold in the cork gasket or else it pops out. Also the listings and liners come with the piston already installed in the liner. I also learned a bit more on how to roll in bearings on the crank.
The picture is of the other JD Ray is working on that I took a picture because in the corner it shows a defect in the cast. But up close its welded in. Someone broke the corner of the cast and had to fill it in. Interesting to me wonder if they did it and actually cleaned up or with some oil in it. You just never know what people will do.

It looks like the bolt hole was hydrolocked by screwing a cap screw into a hole with oil in it.
